Hi! I’m emmi Coburn, a canadian oil painter.

I create original artwork inspired by the beauty in everyday moments and nostalgia. Through Traditional oil painting techniques, i aim to capture a sense of warmth, personality, and Storytelling in each piece.

Emmi Coburn is an Ontario-based artist born and raised in St. Thomas Ontario. Working primarily in oil paint, she creates artwork that explores colour, character, storytelling and the beauty found in everyday moments. Her work is driven by a desire to create meaningful pieces that invite connection and bring a sense of warmth and personality into a space.

Emmi’s artistic journey began with formal training at Fanshawe College, where she completed a three-year Advance Fine-Art program. She continued her studies at NSCAD University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, completing two years toward a bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Her education provided a strong foundation in traditional techniques while encouraging experimentation, creative exploration, and the development of her unique artistic voice.

Today, Emmi creates original paintings and commissioned works for collectors across Canada. Drawing inspiration from personal experiences, nature, and the stories that connect us, her work balances technical skill with a genuine appreciation for the emotional impact of art.

Through each painting, Emmi aims to create artwork that is both visually engaging and deeply personal, offering viewers an opportunity to find meaning, nostalgia, and joy in the subjects she portrays.
